BENAHAVIS
De natuurlijke omgeving staat bovenaan de lijst van bezienswaardigheden in Benahavis. Het dorp zelf bevat vele verzorgde smalle straatjes en pleintjes, geflankeerd door Andalusische witgekalkte huizen.
Het prachtige Parque Torre Leoneras aan de zuidkant van het dorp bevat de ruïnes van een middeleeuwse toren en een groot meer. Het Montemayor kasteel, gebouwd in de 10e eeuw, is grotendeels geruïneerd, maar verschillende delen van de muren en de Koningin toren zijn nog intact. Het uitzicht hiervandaan op de Costa del Sol is prachtig.
Met Puerto Banus aan zijn voeten en Marbella slechts een korte 10 minuten rijden, is Benahavis ideaal gelegen tussen twee van de bekendste kustplaats van Spanje en heeft daarom in de afgelopen jaren uitgegroeid tot een van de meest populaire locaties voor huizenkopers, gepensioneerden, gezinnen en beroemden.

The natural surroundings top the list of attractions in Benahavis. Only a few places on the Costa del Sol have such uninterrupted views of mountains, forests and rivers. The village itself contains many well-kept narrow streets and squares, flanked by Andalusian whitewashed houses.
The beautiful Parque Torre Leoneras on the south side of the village contains the ruins of a medieval tower and a large lake. The Montemayor castle, built in the 10th century, is largely ruined, but several parts of the walls and the Queen's Tower are still intact. The view from here of the Costa del Sol is stunning.
With Puerto Banus at its feet and Marbella just a short 10-minute drive away, Benahavis is ideally located between two of Spain's most famous coastal towns and has therefore in recent years become one of the most popular locations for homebuyers, pensioners, families and famous people.
